WINTEL Systems Administrator – Utilities – London, Central Scotland
Experience of one or more of the following; Installation and configuration of Microsoft operating systems. Installation of Microsoft dependent programs and packages. Ability to design and develop shell scripts and has a good knowledge of Microsoft commands and editors. Provide on-site administration for the Microsoft environment and maintain operational records of all activities. Experience of Change Control practices. Citrix administration. TCP/IP routing and protocols (WINS, DNS, DHCP). SQL Server 2005. Experience of supporting, working with 250+ Microsoft 2000/2003 Server estates. 3+ years experience working with HP/Compaq server hardware. Microsoft scripted build technologies. Experience of Microsoft Clustering Services 2000/2003.

Network Operations – Financial Services – Central Scotland
RFL currently have opportunities for Network Operations engineers to be based in the centre of Edinburgh, covering the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 on a rotating shift . Monday to Friday
Experience of of the following; Current Cisco CCNP qualification. Support and configuration experience of Cisco routers and switches including Cisco 3600 series, CAT 6500s & 4500s, Cisco Call Manager and ICM administration and troubleshooting ability including CM V3 & 4, ICM V4.6 & 7. Windows 2000 server administration including OS patching and updating of virus definitions. Understanding of data & voice converged networks and preferable experience of managing/supporting converged Wide Area Networks.
Roles and responsibilities:
Troubleshooting IP telephony and ICM problems unresolved by 1st & 2nd line (includes IPCC, Webview & Supervisor Desktop)
Amendment of call flow scripts in ICM
Liaise with Data Specialist on any incidents, problems & changes
Assessment of Cisco announcements, field notices, bugs and action to address or implement service development
Management of the technical aspects of any projects associated with the voice network. including implementation planning, implementation and testing.
Formal and ad hoc voice networking consultancy to customer employees outwith and in addition to any project-related activities
